We graft on standard seedling rootstock. These rootstocks take a bit longer to begin bearing fruit, but will live much longer, with deep root systems resisting excessive water and drought conditions. They tend to be more disease resistant and easier to care for.
Most of the cultivars we grow have shown some resistance to fireblight and other issues we face in abundance in this humid warm climate.
